Proud to announce partnership with Wealden Charcoal using some wood straight from TryWoods now supplying BBQ Charcoal.

Wealden Charcoal produce traditional BBQ charcoal from sustainably sourced, and local Sussex hardwood. All wood we use is from coppiced woodland in the heart of Sussex and is licensed and registered with "Grown in Britain".

Using modern "retort kiln Pyrolis" methods, we produce high quality charcoal in an environmentally freindly way. This is where gas emissions products ed by the kilb are used to fuel the fire in a perpetual cycle.

The Wealden BBQ Charcoal you buy will support our "woodland Coppicing Management Programme" and promote biodiversity.

Our charcoal is made by excluding air from the kiln meaning the temperature insude is very high - this extracts any impurities from the wood, giving 95% pure carbon with the following benefits:

easy to light and long lasting
No food taint from paraffin or oil
A totally natural cooking solution
